The Farmhand geared dehorner is a new development from Shoof. It has been designed to suit the high end of the dehorning market, where strength, reliability and light weight are important. The dehorner is made of all hardened steel, with Australian hardwood handles. The gear set is precision cast to create the most cutting force with the least handle effort. To aid in this the main pivot points are bronze bushed, to reduce moment loads. All parts are available. Blade opening to 80mm. Handles 70cm long. Length 122cm o.a. Weight 8kg.
This debudder is made in New Zealand and has been well proven over many years of use. It is a very robust tool, suitable for use in demanding conditions. Supplied with QCC fitting for direct connection to regular 4kg or 9kg LPG bottles. Gas control is by the handle knob, so a regulator is not required on the bottle. A 2.5m-long hose is included. Supplied standard with 18mm tip, with optional 16mm and 20mmn tips available. The heavy tip on this dubudder means it will hold its heat well whilst in contact with the horn.
